I decided to make my mother in law a few fun wine glasses! I chose this gift for two reasons: she wanted some fun bright wine glasses and I recently dropped and shattered one of her wine glasses. :( sorry!

Supplies
Acrylic paint (primary colors and black and white will give you many options)
Q tips (or end of paint brush handle)
Wine glass
Baking pan

These are all the paints I had on hand.

I scored a set of 6 wine glasses for $8 at Marshall’s!

Create
1. Put a few plops of each color on a plate or napkin
2. Play with the colors and mix at least four different shades for each glass you create. Add white for lighter colors and black to make darker colors.

3. Dip q tip or paint brush handle into your first color
4. Make cute little dots all over, avoiding the lip of the glass. I like the look of thick color at the base and more spread out color as the dots go up the glass.

5. Remember it’s supposed to be fun and random, not perfect dots!
6. Repeat with each color!

7. Once you have finished painting, bake glasses for 30 min at 350 degrees
8. Allow glasses to cool in oven for at least an hour before handling

9. Start using your cute new wine glasses or gift them to a friend! Always hand wash for best results.

Side notes:
-My mother in law is an Aggie fan so I made one glass with the ATM school colors! So many possibilities.
-You do not have to use wine glasses- tumblers and cups look great also!
-Christmas colors, pastel for Easter, school colors, 4th of July etc.

Hope you enjoyed (: get to craftin’!

Until next time…
