A Southern Touch of New Beginings

Hey there!

I am a first time blogger ready to begin this journey! I have lots of exciting ideas and information to share once I figure out this layout and set up shop!

My name is Kallie Hess. I am 23 years old, currently living in a small town called Westlake, LA, just over the bridge from Lake Charles, LA! You may have heard of Westlake, LA from American Idol. Josh Ledet was a star contestant last season. The Lake area is a growing city with casinos, festivals, industrial plants, and a few large lakes! I grew up with a family filled to the brim with love! My mom and sister are two of my best friends. My father loves to hunt and fish in Louisiana’s beautiful landscape! Both sets of my grandparents spoke fluent Cajun French! I love the south and give all of my ideas a natural southern touch!

I have been married to my amazing husband, Ryan, since August 6, 2011! :) He is pretty much the best you can get! He has encouraged me to create this blog. I am currently working at a beautiful
nursing home/rehab facility where I do treatments and wound care. I enjoy my job and love the sweet residents that I get to meet and visit with.

Although I have a passion to help and care for others, I have a greater passion for all things healthy, crafty and sweet! I have an ever growing list of ideas flowing through my mind at all times! It jump starts when I wake up and does not end until I finally fall asleep! I am always searching for new health and fitness information, useful DIY projects, home design, gift ideas, fashion trends, and recipes to try (mostly to satisfy my sweet tooth). Some say I can be indecisive, which caused some difficulty when trying to decide just what my new blog should be about. I decided, why not do it all? I have the freedom to write about anything I find interesting! So this lead me to the name of my blog! It can be so diverse. I cannot wait to start posting about all the information I find for you down here in south Louisiana!
